once upon a try: Google

Earth Day

In April 2019, Google launched a global campaign centred around Earth Day, an annual event celebrated on April 22nd to promote environmental protection. The campaign’s highlight was a unique and immersive online experience called “Once Upon a Try,” which aimed to inspire curiosity and encourage learning about sustainability and environmental issues.

Once Upon a Try

The “Once Upon a Try” campaign featured a collaboration between Google Arts & Culture and more than 110 partners, including museums, research institutions, and non-profit organizations from around the world. It offered an interactive journey through history, inventions, and discoveries related to environmental conservation and sustainability.

Users could explore various topics such as renewable energy, biodiversity, climate change, and sustainable innovations through engaging online exhibits, virtual reality experiences, and augmented reality features. The campaign allowed people to learn about significant environmental achievements and gain insights into the challenges facing our planet.
